The wine is very dark with hues of deep red and magenta. The wine is extremely attractive and filled with seductive aromatics of briar batch, plum, and violets with hints of red bing cherry and subtle notes of vanilla. The wines structure is powerful with defined yet broad tannins and taught acidity with a palate full of concentrated fruit. This a truly lovely wine that is wonderful to drink today when paired with big rich cuisine such as Santa Maria Tri-Tip.
