Dear Friends and Family,
Happy Holidays! This is one of my favorite times of year. We have completed a successful harvest, the air is crisp, the vineyard is a rainbow of fall colors, and holiday festivities and merriment abound.
While I love the holiday parties and the celebrations, what I love most is the focus on gratitude, family and friends. My heart is full and I feel immensely grateful for so much. We are grateful for a successful 2015 Harvest! It was an early and quick harvest this year. While the yields were low, the quality is superb and we are very excited about what is to come from them! The 2015 red wines are in barrel undergoing secondary fermentation while the white wines are safely at rest in barrels and stainless steel.
I am grateful that my dad recognized the magic and beauty of this land 20+ years ago. Many of you know that the name of our ranch, Piocho, means “where two rivers meet and go to heaven.” This land is special for many reasons and we take pride in being stewards of the land.
I am grateful that our family’s commitment, dedication and passion to this place has continued to produce not only superb wine and horses, but a unique place that we call home and will pass on to the next generation.
The ability to work with my family and do what we love is a blessing. And above and beyond that, we get to share it with you! We are so thankful for our wine family: our wine club members, visitors to our ranch and tasting room and the wonderful people who are part of our team. Sharing our passion with you is what we love!
